Mary Quite Contrary by Naomi 'Brigid' Gill
Gosh, that's an old song. I wonder if anyone even knows what I'm refering to.
It's done by Weird Al Yankovic and it's something of a favorite of Dad's. Figures something he likes would have spent time on the banned-from-the-airwaves shelf.
The whole thing is done in a quazi-Yiddish accent, so I guess it's anti-Semetic or something. (How we can be so worried about being anti-Semetic and still blaim Israel for the problems between them and Palestine I may never know.) Anyway, Dad finally found it on a CD of novelty Christmas songs, so I got to hear it too. And I love it! Really, if you don't know it already, you should go out and find this song. It's hilarious!
By the way, in case you're wondering, this is actually the McAlister's *Thanksgiving* trip to the paternal grandparents. Everyone's finally over all their bugs and things so off they go. Here's hoping the Christmas trip happens before February.
