Mary Quite Contrary by Naomi 'Brigid' Gill
Generally speaking, teachers didn't scare me. Not really. There was this one teacher in second grade who I was convinced had a cauldron behind her desk full of witch's brew. But aside from a perpetually dark classroom and a rather unaproachable aura, she wasn't all that bad.
In sixth grade there was a teacher who was quite intimidating. Turns out he also coached some high school sports, so that kinda made sense. He also reminded me of Dad, so that made him both likable and kinda scary.
But I was never truely scared of either of them.
That third grade math teacher scared the living daylights out of me. For the remaining three years of elementary school I ducked everytime I saw her. And I would not come out from under the cafeteria table until I was sure she was gone. Really. The only exageration up there is the flaming aura.
Also, I have fixed a problem with the archive. Specifically, a repeated comic. The correct comic is up now and you can find it here!
